Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Spokesperson for Neath

Mathew McCarthy - NeathMathew is the Welsh Liberal Democrat candidate for the Neath Constituency. He is an 18 year old student at Neath Port Talbot College, and the youngest Assembly candidate in the whole country.

Originally from Bristol, he now lives in Seven Sisters, and is currently Deputy-Chair of the Aberavon and Neath Liberal Democrats.

In October 2010 he stood in the Neath North council by-election, achieving a good result in the circumstances, and even receiving the endorsement of Baroness Shirley Williams.

Mathew wants to serve in the Welsh Assembly to represent young people, and to ensure a better, greener future for Neath and the rest of Wales.
