Political History: Welsh Liberal Democrats Conference Committee Welsh Liberal Democrats Policy Committee 'Better Government' Federal Policy Working Group 2003 - Assembly candidate for Ogmore 2004 - County Councillor for Coity Ward 2005 - Parliamentary Candidate for Ogmore Jackie Radford has been County Borough Councillor for Coity Ward, Bridgend since 2004. She has been a LibDem candidate for both Welsh Assembly and Westminster elections since 2003, each time standing for Ogmore Constituency.

Born in 1956, Jackie took voluntary redundancy in 2001 after working full-time for Lloyds TSB for just short of thirty years. She then took a Master's Degree in American Studies at the University of Wales, Swansea.Previous study included politics, history, sociology and criminology. In January 2004 Jackie started working part-time for West Glamorgan Archive Service helping visitors research local and family history. Jackie is married to Stephen, a Crime Scene Investigator with South Wales Police, and they have two cats and two West Highland White Terrier pups. She is currently studying Medieval Latin and enjoys listening to music and reading Private Eye. Her hero is Ellen Macarthur. In keeping with her passion for lifelong learning, Jackie's ambitions are to get elected to the Welsh Assembly, to be able to salsa, to play the piano, to speak Welsh - and to see Hillary Clinton as President of the United States.
