Welsh Liberal Democrats welcomed news that the BBC is committed to improving its coverage of devolved government in the UK.
Speaking following the publication of a report which concludes that the BBC could do much better, Culture spokesperson Peter Black said: "I wholeheartedly support the central premise of the report - that while the BBC is the best media outlet when it comes to reporting devolution, it is still not good enough.
"It is vital that the action plan which will be brought forward by management in July takes on board the points raised.
"The BBC should be a beacon for good journalism. I hope that improved explanation of policy differences in different parts of the UK, will rub off on other UK outlets in due course."
