Well known and hard working Local Councillors Rob Speht and Viv Abbott are celebrating this week after being re-selected by the Welsh Liberal Democrats to stand in the Landore Ward, in Swansea East.
The two Lib Dem Councillors who have represented the Landore Ward for more than 3 years will go on to be the Candidates in May when all 72 Council seats are up for election.
Viv Abbott said, upon hearing the news "That's great news! It is nice to be appreciated" he added "It has been hard work over the last 3 years sorting out some of the long running problems in Hafod, Landore and Plasmarl but it is a good feeling when you know you have helped someone."
Rob Speht said "I am really pleased to have been selected to stand in the Landore Ward for a 3rd successive Council Election" he added "We have many projects that we have not yet finished such as the new Bowls Centre in Plasmarl, the New Hafod Bypass route and a New Traffic Management system in Landore - if we are re-elected in May we'll be able to see all these through".
Well Known Local Assembly Member Peter Black said "Rob & Viv are hard working Local Lib Dem Councillors and it is no surprise that they have been re-selected. The residents of Landore Ward will be pleased if they are re-elected in May"
