Local Campaigner appointed as Party Spokesperson

February 3, 2007 12:00 AM

Jackie RadfordThe Welsh Liberal Democrats have named their South Wales West Regional list candidate and Bridgend Councillor, Jackie Radford, as their Deputy Spokesperson on Social Justice.

Councillor Radford has been the Welsh Liberal Democrat Councillor for Coity since 2004. She is a graduate in Social Sciences and stood for the Ogmore constituency in the last General Election.

"As a Liberal Democrat I am committed to the giving people the opportunities they need to reach their full potential. There are too many people in Wales who are finding themselves unable to access the services and facilities they need to get on in life because of misguided Labour government decisions."

"Health, education and rural post offices are just three examples. It is totally unacceptable that people should be treated so badly, and my priority in this post will be to fight to protect people when they are vulnerable and to ensure the fairer, safer Wales everyone deserves to share and enjoy."
