The fight for the Post Office

Making provision for young people

One of the biggest complaints of young people is that they have nowhere to go at night. This can also cause problems for local residents as a minority will compensate for this by socialising on street corners or by a local shop.

Proper study now needed into dredging

The decision by the Labour-Plaid Cymru Welsh Government to grant a licence to the Llanelli Sand Dredging Company to take 150,000 tonnes of sand a year, over 7 years, from the Helwick Bank off Gower has raised fundamental questions about their commitment to preserving our local beaches.

Conference in the sun

The sunshine that greeted representatives as they arrived in Brighton managed to last into the Sunday morning, but by then the wind had already started to pick up and dark clouds were gathering above our heads. By Monday the wind had died but it was still overcast.

Teachers and parents need to get wise to internet dangers for children

A recent report into social networking sites has underlined the need for more care to be taken by children when using the internet. It revealed an increasing trend for underage kids to post their mobile numbers, e-mail addresses, home addresses and lots of other personal data on-line, where it can be accessed by others.
